The sweetest time of the year, Valentine’s Day, is just around the corner. There are so many kinds of love, and so many different ways to share it. Nothing says love like a handmade gift though so let the special people in your life know how much they mean to you by brightening their day with a homemade Valentine’s Day card.

Valentine’s Day is the second largest seasonal card sending time of the year. Use the occasion of this holiday to spread some joy and affection.
Send a card to your significant other, a friend, co-worker or child in your life. Valentine’s Day is no longer only reserved for lovers, it’s the time to celebrate all kinds of relationships.

Card with 3D hearts

Use a piece of coloured paper and fold it in two. Cut out hearts along the folded edge of the paper. Use a needle or an awl to make small holes through both the hearts and the card where you would like to place them. Tie the hearts to the card with a small piece of string.

We have used grey string from our Luxury Wrap Pack. It has been unravelled and separated into three parts so that it is thin enough to insert through the holes. You can see on the inside of the card how we have tied the knots.

Card with scribbled hearts
Cut cards out of cardboard in your desired size. We have used A4 cardboard and made each sheet into two cards. Use thick felt-tip pens in shades of pink, red and purple and draw hearts in different sizes on the front. The white string is from our Luxury Wrap Pack and the pink ribbon is a Christmas left-over.

Stamped card

This card is made with the help of an empty toilet paper roll, which we used as a stamp. We gently squeezed it into the shape of a heart and dipped one end into the red paint and the other into the pink paint.

For the glitter effect, we used clear craft glue on top of the stamped heart shapes and poured the glitter on top of it. Any surplus glitter is easily shaken off over the sink or a rubbish bin.

The crafting table is our popular black drop leaf table, that can be used in many ways. We are using the full size, but you can also drop both leaves and turn it into a sleek console table. It is also adjustable in height, you can see how it works here: The elegant space saver.
