More ideas for your popsicle molds

While it might be getting too cold outside to be enjoying ice cream, it’s no reason to pack away your popsicle molds. With a little bit of thinking outside the box, our Nordal popsicle molds have many alternative uses.

For example they are perfect for the lunch boxes. Let the kids use them to bring nuts, seeds, dried fruit or other small snacks. You can also put small cut raw vegetables in them, for the school lunch or to add to your own sandwiches at work.

Use the molds to make yoghurt pops or smoothies for breakfasts on the go. You could also use up any leftover coffee and make iced coffee as an afternoon pick-me-up.

If you are going to transport them anywhere, do keep the molds in a box so that they don’t get compressed by accident. Also make sure that you squeeze out as much air as you can before you seal them as that will stop them from leaking.

If you are a little bit adventurous, you can make sweet fruity pops to serve as a dessert with a twist at your next dinner party. Fruity popsicles are always welcome, even during the cold winter. Or you can up your game even further and serve boozy ‘poptails’!

The Nordal silicone molds are reusable and dishwasher safe. Have a look here for a delicious recipe for ice cream.

Ryebread chips taste fantastic and are very easy to make with only three ingredients.

You need the following: ryebread, oil and seasalt.

Cut up the ryebread in as thin slices as you can and then into smaller pieces so that they can fit in the silicone mold. Spread them out on a baking paper on an oven tray and brush them with oil and seasalt. Bake them at 175 degrees for about 10 minutes. Make sure you don’t overcook them as they quickly burn.

Once cold a good idea is to use our preserving jars for storing the chips. Depending on how big your batch is the jars come in different sizes, 300ml, 450ml and 1000ml. Transfer some to our silicone molds if you would like to bring any away for a snack.
