Pumpkin carving

Halloween is nearly upon us, and a great activity to do together with the children this time of the year is preparing the traditional jack-o’-lanterns out of pumpkins. A decorative pumpkin is one of the main symbols of Halloween and a great holiday decoration.

Carving pumpkins can get a bit messy, especially while removing the pulp. If you set up and do it outside you have to worry less about cleaning up. Make use of your outdoor furniture even in these colder months by carving in the garden. Keep warm by sitting on some woolly lamb fur and wrap up in nice quilts and blankets. Our lamb skins come in 12 different colours and measure 50×90 cm.

Stay safe when carving by always using tools and knives with serrated edges. Don’t force the blade but use a gentle sawing motion when carving. Children can take part if you get them the special kids knifes that you can find on the market, which will carve but not harm.

A good tip when you remove the inside of the pumpkin, is to keep the seeds. You can rinse them off, season with oil, salt and pepper and make toasted pumpkin seeds. They can be enjoyed as a snack or used for baking, in cereal bars or homemade granola mix.

The chair comes in two different styles, one with armrests that can be stacked, and one without armrests. There is also a small round table in the same series.

Our beautiful lanterns will light up your late night porch or your garden, but you can also use the  pumpkins. After carving scary patterns, add tea lights or LED lights inside your pumpkins to spook any trick-or-treaters coming by.
