Everyone loves sweet treats, and is there anything better than when strawberry season starts? It is a sure sign of summer, and a time to for outside fun.
Go pick some strawberries for a delicious milkshake which refreshes on a warm summer day. A good idea for serving the milkshake is to use our small bottles with straws and stack them in the metal basket for transport to avoid them falling over. This versatile basket could also be used in the kitchen for storage of glass jars, shopping bags or even vegetables. Other uses could be to place your glossy magazines in it to keep them handy for quiet moments, or display fresh hand towels in the bathroom.
You could also try to serve lemonade or ice coffee in these bottles. They are dishwasher safe and the metal lids are easily rinsed in the sink. For the strawberry milkshakes we have used our paper straws in purple and light blue design, which suits the lovely pink colour of the milkshake. The hole in the lid is also big enough for the bigger sized straws.
The recipe is for 1 bottle
200 ml milk
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar, or seeds from 2 cm vanilla pod
2 tbsp yoghurt
Mix all the ingredients in a blender for a few minutes. Add sugar to taste as it depends on how sweet your strawberries are. Pour half of your milkshake into the bottle and let it stand for a bit so that the foam settles, then add the rest. Enjoy cold.
